Charlotte and Aymeric embracing at sunset in the gardens of Château Grattequina

Château Grattequina, near Bordeaux, hosts wedding receptions. It was in this princely château that Charlotte and Aymeric celebrated the most beautiful day of their lives. Let me take you back through their wedding day at Château Grattequina in Blanquefort!

The Château Grattequina Newlyweds

Charlotte and Aymeric live in Paris and love the Bordeaux region, where Charlotte’s parents live. Charlotte got ready in the magnificent family home, the "Clos Bourbon", which I simply loved!

Aymeric got ready with his family and his five witnesses at Château du Broustaret. The two lovebirds were not far from each other, on the right bank of the Garonne, south of Bordeaux.

The religious ceremony then took place at the Church of Saint-Aubin in Latresne.

Meeting the couple through an engagement session

In September 2019, the future newlyweds chose me for an engagement session on Arcachon Bay. The aim of this photo session is to keep memories of the couple before the wedding. Charlotte and Aymeric wanted to capture their life as a young engaged couple in beautiful, romantic photographs.

A Wedding Procession on the Garonne River

Charlotte and Aymeric are a young couple full of energy who love a thrill.

They love doing things on a grand scale, originality and adventure, and their wedding was no exception!

So they arrived by boat with their ten witnesses, after a 1 hour 15 minute trip on the Garonne! Yes, that’s Charlotte and Aymeric: an extraordinary couple.

Emotions were running high, for the newlyweds as much as for their witnesses! Even for me, as I had come on board with them to take photos, of course.

We set off from the pontoon at the Maison du Fleuve to reach Château Grattequina aboard a lovely motor launch. Plenty of giggles, joy and good vibes as the boat sped up! But also pauses with champagne, to admire the beautiful panorama before us. We sailed past the quays of the Place de la Bourse and the Miroir d’Eau, the Chartrons and the Place des Quinconces.

The Wedding Reception at Château Grattequina

The evening began in the gardens of Château Grattequina, then moved to the great hall for the wedding dinner. Of course, we made the most of a magnificent sunset to capture a few couple photos.

The party had an atmosphere that was both chic and relaxed, and there was plenty of laughter.

The dancing was perfectly orchestrated by Rudy of Alegria, as talented as ever!
