Real Weddings

Romance and softness set the tone for this Fine Art wedding at Domaine de Larchey. The estate, in Saint-Médard-d’Eyrans near Bordeaux, is well known for hosting elegant wedding receptions and other private events.

A Wedding at Domaine de Larchey

Domaine de Larchey

If there is one place where taking Fine Art photos is a pure delight, it is Domaine de Larchey!

The estate’s tree-lined, flower-filled park is impeccably kept and incredibly beautiful. If our newlyweds look so radiant in the photos, it is partly thanks to the glorious weather that came with us all day. Summer is a perfect season for a wedding at Domaine de Larchey, and the sunshine suited the Fine Art wedding style I love so much.

The charm and authenticity of its rooms, right in the heart of nature, delight couples and guests alike, and the staff are wonderfully attentive.

Laure and Maxime’s Wedding Day

Laure and Maxime chose the end of July to say "I do".

They got ready at Domaine de Larchey, and the civil ceremony took place at Villenave-d’Ornon town hall. We took the couple’s portraits in the town hall’s beautiful garden.

Then came a celebrant-led ceremony back at the estate, with Carole of Mademoiselle Loyal as officiant. Carole was absolutely perfect: her gentle voice and her words deeply touched the newlyweds. The floral decoration was splendid.

The cocktail hour followed in the park of Domaine de Larchey, to the lively, talented music of the band Granny Smith. The newlyweds and their guests danced and laughed a great deal.

Film Photography for a Fine Art Wedding

Film photography adds character and finesse to wedding photos. Although the Fine Art style is mostly worked in digital today, it draws heavily on the look of film.

Laure and Maxime’s wedding, in particular, I covered entirely with a film camera: the daytime pictures in colour, and the evening photos in black and white, on a film stock especially suited to the Fine Art style. Film photography is available as an option, on request, for weddings and engagement sessions.
