Organising a photoshoot in Bordeaux for a friend who is very dear to my heart was a real honour. In this article, I am delighted to share a friends’ photoshoot in the Jardin Public in Bordeaux, which took place in April.

A Friends’ Photoshoot in Bordeaux

This photoshoot in Bordeaux was entrusted to me by someone who means a great deal to me: Sonia, my childhood friend. Over the years we have built a very strong bond. My wife, our children and I are very fond of Sonia, Emmanuel and their daughters, Anouk and Ysée.

On my birthday, Sonia asked me to do this photoshoot in Bordeaux for a session among friends. The teenagers wanted memories together as sisters, and with their best friends too.

Her request touched me all the more because it came as a way of lifting spirits after the health and economic crisis.

A lifestyle shoot for the girls in Bordeaux

The four girls had all chosen outfits in the same colour palette to give the photos a sense of harmony. Their style was a perfect fit for the natural setting of the Jardin Public in Bordeaux, a place that is always rewarding for a photoshoot thanks to its many different backdrops.

This friends’ session was a true lifestyle shoot: the girls’ natural poses, their emotions caught in the moment and the Fine Art style of the photos made it a lifestyle shoot, teenage edition.

Sonia’s two daughters and their best friends were very close throughout the shoot. A beautiful friendship is blossoming between them; that is what I felt watching them from behind my lens. A little like my wife and me with Sonia and her husband…

A Family Photoshoot in Bordeaux

In the end, Sonia, who was not a fan of photoshoots, trusted me when I suggested that she and Emmanuel appear in a few photos at the end of the session.

So the friends’ session ended as a family session! Sonia and Emmanuel got into the spirit of it, and our long friendship certainly made things easier.

I wanted to give my friends beautiful Fine Art photos to create new family memories. We took a few photos of the whole family together, then of the couple on their own. Sonia and Emmanuel had not hired a photographer for their wedding, and they had never thought about couple photos. Now it is done! Of course, I am especially touched and proud that it happened with me!

Everyone had taken care to follow my advice on what to wear, so as to suit the bright style of my Fine Art photography as closely as possible. I was happy to see their effort.

What is more, the atmosphere was joyful and sincere, and I enjoyed capturing these moments as much as editing them afterwards.
