A Lifestyle Family Photoshoot in Bordeaux

With their heads in the stars for a whole year now, Camille and Julie are living a great happiness with their twins.

The twins have brought immense joy to the couple, and they wanted to mark this incredible first year with a family photoshoot that reflects the way they live. That is exactly what a lifestyle photoshoot is.

For four years, I have had the honour of covering all of Julie and Camille’s photoshoots, to my great happiness and pride. I am deeply touched by the trust they have placed in me ever since their engagement session.

Camille and Julie were very patient, and their dearest wish to become parents finally came true. The icing on the cake: two wonderful children from a single pregnancy, and a pair of arms to wrap each child in their unconditional love.

As a family and lifestyle photographer in Bordeaux, I am very proud to contribute, in my own small way, to their memories.

A lifestyle photoshoot that looks like you

To begin the day, we did part of the photoshoot at home.

Taking lifestyle photos in the family nest matters for the little ones’ well-being, because they are surrounded by everything they know. And looking a little into the future, they may one day enjoy seeing the home of their early childhood again.

At home, the twins were adorable with me, especially the little boy, who kept coming over for cuddles. It was a lovely reward for me, and of course it made the shoot easier. The little girl was a little more reserved, but without rushing her, she gave us some beautiful expressions.

The aim of this at-home photoshoot was to stay true to the little family’s everyday life. Camille and Julie took their little ones to their bedroom and settled each of them in their own teepee, with their soft toys and comforters.

All of this happened very naturally, with nothing staged. That is the very essence of lifestyle photography.

The second part of the family photoshoot took place outdoors.

Julie and Camille feel close to nature, so they wanted photos in a green setting with beautiful natural light.

Domaine du Pinsan in Eysines was just what they had in mind for outdoor photos with their children.

The spring, countryside atmosphere among the fir trees, the woods, the ferns and the sunshine suited the little family’s way of life perfectly. That feeling of lightness and tenderness was not just in the air: it was very real.

If we had to sum up lifestyle family photography, it would be a combination of several things.
