As a couple photographer in Bordeaux, I would like to share Élise and Jérôme’s couple photoshoot, about 70 km south-west of Bordeaux: off to Cap Ferret!

Couple Photoshoot at Cap Ferret

For this couple photoshoot near Bordeaux, Élise and Jérôme wanted to be out in nature, not far from Arcachon Bay. So we set sail for Cap Ferret, to a beautiful forest near the ocean beaches.

For the second part of the shoot, we headed to the Bay to take their couple photos near the fishermen’s huts of Le Canon: an oyster-farming atmosphere and a peaceful silence, with the majestic Dune du Pilat in the background.

Élise and Jérôme’s couple session

I photographed this lovely couple session with Élise and Jérôme at the end of May 2020, just as lockdown was beginning to ease. The couple had decided that I would be their photographer for their wedding at Domaine de Cordet in the summer of 2021, and I welcomed their wish with great emotion.

After two and a half months of lockdown, Élise could not wait to take these couple photos outdoors. She chose an outfit that beautifully suited her complexion and her lovely figure, and a colourful bouquet of dried flowers in harmony with her clothes. Her make-up was immaculate. I loved the dried flower bouquet.

Jérôme, who is more reserved, overcame his shyness thanks to Élise, always joyful and caring. We took these couple photos on Arcachon Bay, but we could just as well have taken them in one of the many parks in Bordeaux or the surrounding area. Even so, the mineral atmosphere of Cap Ferret added a welcome serenity to an already rich setting.
