Today I would like to share a same-sex couple photoshoot in Bordeaux: the session of a truly endearing lesbian couple, which I had the honour of photographing. I will also tell you about my Fine Art wedding photography for lesbian and gay couples.

Charlotte and Émilie’s Photoshoot at the Parc Bordelais

When the warm spring days returned, Charlotte and Émilie got in touch with me for a couple photoshoot. The occasion was their PACS, the French civil partnership, and they wanted beautiful images to mark this lovely civil union.

We took the photos at the Parc Bordelais, on a particularly sunny day.

Both rather shy by nature, Charlotte and Émilie let themselves be guided in a gentle, caring atmosphere. They made the most of a moment that became, for them, a true pause to reflect on their love and their new union.

Fits of laughter, tenderness and kisses set the rhythm of this beautiful moment.

The day after the shoot, I invited Charlotte and Émilie to discover their images. It was a deeply emotional moment that I will never forget.

Same-sex marriage has been legal in France since 2013, with the "mariage pour tous" law, and it has become much more widespread since.

Many lesbian and gay couples no longer hesitate to show their love openly and to make their relationship official in front of their family and friends.

In June 2019, I photographed Pierre and David’s gay wedding in Bordeaux. They asked me to cover all of their wedding photography: their civil ceremony, couple portraits in Bordeaux, and the following day their humanist ceremony and reception at Villa La Tosca on Arcachon Bay.
