I am delighted to share these couple maternity photos, taken in Bordeaux for Xavier and Andréa. We did this couple photoshoot at the Réserve Écologique des Barails in September 2020.

Couple Photos with a Mum-to-Be

A delighted father-to-be, Xavier wanted to give his future wife, seven months pregnant, a gift of couple photos. We took the photos on the day of their PACS, the French civil partnership, at the Réserve Écologique des Barails in Bordeaux Lac.

Couple maternity photos are a chance to keep beautiful memories of your life as a couple before a child arrives. When it is a first baby, most couples love to have high-quality, original photos. These pictures mark an important stage in a couple’s life.

Xavier and Andréa were both lovely to work with. We clicked straight away.

The style of this couple photoshoot is rather romantic. The mood brings together nature, the couple’s elegant way of dressing and, of course, Andréa’s signature accessory: her bouquet.

A couple photoshoot at the Réserve Écologique des Barails

If you do not know the Reserve yet, I recommend discovering this charming place. The Réserve Écologique des Barails is a great idea for outdoor couple maternity photos.

Just opposite the Matmut stadium, the reserve is the largest green space in Bordeaux, covering 156 hectares.

Two years earlier, I had photographed a hen party there, but only in the rose garden. It turns out that the park has several different "atmospheres", and it is well worth the visit.

In the photos, you will notice a variety of settings that might make you think we had gone abroad. And yet we were right here in Bordeaux!

I used these settings as backdrops for some of the shots, which gives them an exotic feel.

The photoshoot lasted one hour, in a rich and varied natural setting: an ideal place for calm, outdoor couple photos with a mum-to-be.

I have been photographing couples for several years now. Newlyweds or not, with or without children, I always take the same pleasure in capturing their moments of joy. I am lucky enough to live in a wonderfully beautiful city, full of superb places for lovely photos.
