A Maternity Photoshoot in Bordeaux with Johanna and Alexandre

Portrait & Family

In this article, I am delighted to tell you about a maternity photoshoot in Bordeaux with Johanna and Alexandre.

Johanna and Alexandre, soon to be young parents, are no strangers to me: for almost four years now, they have trusted me with the most important moments of their family life.

As a maternity photographer in Bordeaux, let me take you into their lovely family story and behind the scenes of this pregnancy photoshoot.

Maternity Photoshoot in Bordeaux

This maternity photoshoot took place two days after my Fine Art workshop with Christophe Serrano, and with my new camera equipment.

Johanna and Alexandre chose to be photographed first at home, then in the Parc du Vivier in Mérignac. But before I show you the photos and how this maternity session came together, let me introduce the parents-to-be.

The parents-to-be: Johanna and Alexandre

Johanna and Alexandre and I share four years of photographs. As a photographer, it is truly exceptional to be able to share every stage of a couple’s life. I have watched Johanna and Alexandre grow together, love each other and marvel at life, and it fills me with joy to witness their happiness.

I am extremely grateful to them for trusting me for so many years; it is simply incredible. I am immensely proud to have them by my side.

Four years of photographs

2016 is where our story began, with their engagement session in the unique setting of Saint-Émilion.

In 2017, Johanna and Alexandre chose me as their wedding photographer at Château de Cujac in Saint-Aubin-de-Médoc.

In 2018, the couple got in touch for a "trash the dress" session at the Pointe du Cap-Ferret, near the Bartherotte cabins.

And if you have been following along, it was a year later again, in 2019, that Alexandre wanted to give Johanna this gentle, beautiful maternity photoshoot as a gift.

You too can give a session with the maternity photoshoot gift voucher.

An Outdoor Family Maternity Photoshoot | Parc du Vivier, Mérignac

I photographed this maternity session in two parts:

  • first, in the privacy of their home;
  • then in the Parc du Vivier in Mérignac, where we had taken their wedding couple photos two years earlier. So many memories!

As at every session, Johanna and Alexandre had put a lot of work into the settings and outfits for each of the scenes they had in mind.

They have a great deal of imagination and, I would say, real talent. They love beautiful images, contrasts of every kind and sincere emotions.

Once again we laughed a lot together, and I must admit it was a truly extraordinary moment of creativity.

So to anyone who sees themselves in this kind of styled scene, I would say this: as long as you are motivated and relaxed, but also cheerful and sincere, together we can create more wonderful maternity photos.

My work as a photographer has also taught me a number of lovely outdoor places for beautiful photos in beautiful light.
