Couple Maternity Photos in Pauline and Bastien’s Style

Pauline and Bastien’s lifestyle maternity photoshoot took place at the Parc Bordelais. Just a stone’s throw from Bordeaux city centre, the Parc Bordelais is a vast natural space, with majestic old trees, a wooded area, plenty of greenery and a lake with its residents: ducks, geese and a peacock.

Bordeaux families love coming to this park to unwind in a green space. Close to the city, it is practical and easy to reach with children.

But believe me, children are not the only ones who have a great time at the Parc Bordelais! Parents, and parents-to-be, made the most of the park’s natural settings to pose in front of my camera.

In everyday life, Pauline and Bastien are a young couple who love the energy of the city, with a sporty, casual and relaxed lifestyle. Happy in their trainers and jeans, they were completely themselves during this lifestyle couple maternity photoshoot.

As a professional photographer in Bordeaux, I have brought lifestyle photography into my Fine Art photoshoots. Lifestyle photography combined with the Fine Art approach gives beautiful final images. When parents-to-be ask me to photograph their lifestyle maternity photoshoot, I advise them on what to wear. It is important that the photos truly reflect their everyday lifestyle and who they are.

During the maternity photoshoot itself, I also guide them in their poses. I care a great deal about making them feel as comfortable as possible.

With Pauline and Bastien, it was easier, because we already knew each other. In 2019, I was their wedding photographer, so they found it easier to open up in front of my lens during this lifestyle maternity session. We have become quite close since then, and I am happy to have shared these two beautiful chapters of their life together.

"These are the sessions I love: my newlyweds coming back to see me a few years after their wedding for a beautiful couple maternity photoshoot.

I had the joy of photographing Pauline and Bastien’s wedding at the Bergerie du Courneau two years earlier. It was such a happy day, so full of emotion.

So Pauline and Bastien came down from Paris and put on their best trainers for this relaxed mini session, as easy-going as only they can be.

I should add that Pauline is a PE teacher at a school, which explains some of these acrobatics, even at seven months pregnant!

Once again, these two made me laugh so much. They are closer than ever!"
